Privacy notice.

What happens to your personal data when you visit this website or write to us.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

1. Who is responsible for your personal data

The controller of your personal data is ELSTRAN s.r.o., Zbrojnická 224/1, Střešovice, 162 00 Praha 6, Czech Republic, IČO 29924278 (“Elstran”, “we”).

For any question about this notice or about your personal data, write to info@elstran.com.

2. What we do with your data on this website

When you browse this website. Our hosting provider records technical access data — your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, and the type of browser and operating system. We use this to operate the website and keep it secure. This is our legitimate interest in running and protecting our own website, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We keep these records only for as long as they are needed for that purpose, and we do not use them for anything else.

When you use the contact form. When you send the form, the details you entered — your name, work email address, company, job title, country, the subject you selected and your message — are transmitted to this website and forwarded to us as an email. We process them in order to respond and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The message is not stored in a database on this website and the form sets no cookies. Your IP address is used only for the moment of sending, to limit automated abuse of the form, and is not kept afterwards.

Who delivers that email. We use Resend as our email delivery provider, acting as our processor.

If sending fails. If the form cannot reach us, your browser opens your own email application with the details filled in, so that nothing you wrote is lost. In that case the message reaches us only once you send it yourself.

When you write to us. We process the data you give us — typically your name, business email address, company, job title, country and the content of your message — in order to respond and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. If your enquiry does not lead to a contract, we keep the correspondence on the basis of our legitimate interest in business communication and in being able to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. You can object to that at any time, and you can ask us to delete it.

Please do not send us sensitive material. Do not send credentials, classified material, production data or tender-confidential documents in a first email. We will agree an appropriate and secure channel first.

3. Analytics, advertising and tracking

This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking technologies. We do not profile visitors, and we make no automated decisions about you within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.

Fonts and images are served from this website itself. Loading a page does not send a request to any third-party service.

See our Cookies page for what is and is not stored on your device.

4. Who else sees your data

Our hosting provider, Vercel Inc. (United States), acts as our processor under a data processing agreement and processes the technical access data described above on our behalf.

Beyond that, we disclose personal data only to public authorities where we are required to do so by law.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Our hosting provider’s primary processing facilities are in the United States, so the technical access data described in section 2 may be processed outside the European Economic Area.

That transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission (Decision 2021/914, controller-to-processor module), which are appropriate safeguards under Article 46(2)(c) GDPR. You can ask us for a copy at info@elstran.com.

Messages sent through the contact form are delivered by Resend, our email delivery provider. You can ask us for details at info@elstran.com.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to obtain access to your personal data and a copy of it (Article 15), to have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16), to have your data erased (Article 17), to have processing restricted (Article 18), and to data portability (Article 20).

You may object to processing based on our legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation (Article 21(1)). You may object at any time to direct marketing, including any related profiling; if you do, we will stop processing your data for that purpose (Article 21(2) and (3)).

To exercise any of these rights, write to info@elstran.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR), in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement. The Czech supervisory authority is Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic, uoou.gov.cz.

7. Is providing your data required?

No. You are not required by law or by contract to give us any personal data. If you choose not to write to us, we simply cannot respond to an enquiry.

8. Changes to this notice

If we add analytics, a newsletter, an online account or any other new processing, we will update this notice before that change goes live.
